At ART-PV India Pvt. Ltd., we are an early-stage R&D startup developing perovskite–silicon tandem solar technology for high-efficiency and durable renewable energy solutions. We are seeking a Research Engineer to support the development and characterization of high-performance perovskite solar cells, ideal for someone early in their career, eager to gain hands-on experience in fabrication and scale-up research.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate and maintain thin-film deposition tools and glove box systems under supervision.
- Assist in the development and characterization of large-area (< 4 cm²) perovskite solar cells targeting efficiency >20% with absorber bandgap 1.67–1.7 eV.
- Deposit perovskite films on flat and textured silicon substrates via advanced thin-film deposition techniques (vacuum processing and/or slot-die coating).
- Contribute to process optimization, ensuring repeatability and scalability for manufacturing transition.
- Maintain updated lab notebooks, ensuring accurate documentation of experimental procedures and results.
- Prepare weekly progress and quarterly project reports for internal/external review.
- Work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary R&D team to achieve project goals.
Qualifications & Experience
- Master’s degree (M.Sc./M.Tech) in Physics, Chemistry, Materials Science, Electronics, or related field.
- Minimum 6 months–1 year of relevant experience through academic projects, internships, or industry exposure
Desirable Skills
- Hands-on experience with thin-film deposition techniques such as spin coating, slot-die coating, thermal evaporation, or sputtering.
- Familiarity with solar cell fabrication and device characterization methods (IV, EQE, stability testing, etc.).
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow experimental protocols.
